viewings.
If you are planing to take an trip over to view property for sale in your choosen
destination then it might be worth considering asking an agent or property developer
if they have any free or subsidised inspections trips to that particular destination.
More often than not the agent/developer will probably suggest that you pay for your
own flights and sometimes your accommodation then if you go ahead and buy with them
then they will reimburse your full travelling costs.
This stops people from getting a 'free holiday' and helps to keep the price of the
properties down for genuine property buyers.
Whats normally included on a property inspection trip ?
overseas property inspection trip usually consists of a typical 4 day visit
to view developments and properties from a particular agent or developer to familiarise
you with both their properties and the area in which you are looking to buy.
All arrangements are made by the individual agent offering the inspection trip so
you have nothing to worry about.
Inspection trips typically include:
- Flights from your local or nearest airport - where applicable
- Hotel accommodation with breakfast - typically 4 * wherever available
- Transfers to and from the the local airport abroad
- Representative of the agent/developer to show you around their developments
- All legal questions answered
NB: Not all agents offer subsidised inspection trips but wherever
possible our agents and Homes Abroad Limited will endeavour to refund a fair portion
if not all of you travelling costs incurred if you decide to buy a property through
us or one of our preferred agents.
What it costs
Prices as mentioned above will vary depending on the agent or developer but in subsidised cases prices
can be fixed at a set amount for a particular development or developer.
Where inspection trips are not available from the agent/developer
simply keep your travel receipts and these will normally be refunded if you decide to go ahead and buy with
them.
