Location of the plot

The plot is located just ten minutes by car from the village of Loutra. The village has some small local shops, a school and an old stone olive press. Nearby on the Gulf of Yera there are also therapeutic natural springs.

The beautiful bay of Agios Ermgenis, ideal for summer swimming in a spectacular landscape, is just fifteen minutes by car from the plot.




The nearby town of Mytilene

The historic town of Mytilene is just fifteen minutes from the plot. The town boasts a busy market that includes a range of shops selling everything from local produce such as olive oil, diary products, wild flower honey and fresh fish to shops such as the Body Shop and Marks and Spencer. The town also offers a range of facilities including tourist offices, banks, a post office, schools, hospital, supermarkets, tavernas, cinemas and bars. There is plenty to see in Mytilene including a Byzantine fortress and Ottoman mosque as well as museums.

Aeroplanes from Mytilene to Athens take just 30 minutes. Regular boats leave from Mytilenes harbour to Athens and Thessaloniki. In the summer it is also very easy to take the one hour ferry from Mytilene to the town of Ayvalik in Turkey for a days shopping or sightseeing.
