About Pralognan- La Vanoise Valley
Pralognan la Vanoise is a ski resort on a human scale and offers a skiable area to match. In a majestic setting at the foot of the Grande Casse and at the heart of the Parc National de la Vanoise, you’ll be skiing close to nature, chamois and ibex.
The skiable area is situated at 1400 to 2350 m of altitude and offers in total 60 km of pistes, of which 25 km are for cross-country skiing. Pralognan benefits from exceptional and high quality snow cover due to the proximity of the Vanoise glaciers. Additionally artificial snow is guaranteed with over 70 snow guns spread throughout the ski area, from 2350 m down to the resort.
Altogether there are 24 pistes for all levels of skiers:
- For beginners: the Mont Bochor and in the village, the pistes of Barioz and Poucet- 9 green pistes.
- For good skiers: pistes in the forest and with humps- 4 blue and 7 red pistes.
- For experienced skiers: powdery snow and couloirs in the combe des Pariettes- 4 black pistes...

An archetypal family ski resort, Pralognan is bustling all year round with fetes, concerts, festivals (music, photography) and community hikes. The village has a variety of bars, cafes and restaurants, artisan’s workshops, small supermarkets and local produce stores.

Also possible are alpine skiing, snow shoeing, snowboarding, Nordic walks, dog sledding, curling... In summer enjoy the via ferrata, bowling, glacier trail, the Ice garden, tennis, rafting, hiking and of course enchanting walks in the national park.

By train
Moutiers-Salins railway station is the nearest with direct trains from all major cities (TGV from Lille or Paris). There is a regular coach service between the station and Pralognan, in summer and in winter.

Chambery Airport is 100 km away, Geneve-Cointrin Airport is 150 km away and Lyon-St-Exupery Airport is 180 km away- all offer direct flights to various UK destinations.
